20,107 subscribers in just 90 days!
I spent a lot of time writing my book Science of Blog Power. I spent a lot of time with the mechanics of building my very first membership site but guess what? I did not spend a lot of time developing a clear strategy on how I was going to do to get traffic to my websites.
Typical rookie mistake huh?
I thought my idea was so good that all I had to do was start out with an advertising campaign on Yaro and then build my relationship with you from there.
But that strategy is not working like I envisioned, you are not paying me much attention and I understand but I am not going to sit around feeling sorry for myself.
I decided to formulate my online marketing strategy, I need to build an email list, that’s the main thing and the strategy that I have become obsessed with to accomplish that goal is article marketing.
Do you market your articles online?
If you know how to write and you want to drive traffic to your blog and you want to build your subscriber base then how come you don’t really spend time with developing an article marketing strategy?
Here is what I learned
Mason Rudolph the owner of Article Lessons got 20,107 subscribers in just 90 days by using an article marketing strategy to drive traffic to his email sign up page.
Yaro Starak wrote an article which testified about the power of article marketing.I t got him a lot of page views that’s what he said.
Adeel Chowdry admits that article marketing is what he uses to make a full time income on the web.
Basically the bottom line of it is this, article marketing is the best way for a regular joe
like me to generate traffic and to build a following of people on the web.
But guess what?
Article marketing is not just about cranking out any ole’ article and submitting them to the article directories because there is a science to making it work
To be successful in article marketing you have got to:
submit at least 5 unique articles a day, 5 days a week so that’s 100 articles a month
choose keywords that get at least 500 searches a month but have less than 100,000 websites Google competing for that word.
You must strive to put the chosen keyword term as the first term in the article that you are going to submit to the directories
In your resource box you will have to ask the reader a question that will entice them to click on your link found within the resource box
have a email sign up landing page that your article will direct traffic to
I have begun formulating my keyword list.
It will take me some time to build because my goal is to submit 200 unique articles a month. Therefore I have to comprise a list of 2400 good keywords so that i will have my marketing plan prepared for the entire upcoming year.
Of course I am going to outsource the writing part of the process and it might cost me about $800 bucks a month to do so but the amount of traffic that I will get spending that $800 a month on unique articles will be much more in terms of targeted traffic than paying that money to somebody like Yaro or John Chow for advertising space on their website.
So that’s the new strategy.
Article marketing, I will keep you updated on my accomplishments.
So far I have managed to compose a of 200 keywords that fit my criteria, just 2200 more to go!
I know that building a keyword list to serve me for an entire year can seem a bit tedious but want to build my list of keywords in one shot so that I don’t have to worry about doing ever again once its done.
The plan that I have is to automate the marketing part of my business as much as possible.
Once I get everything set up, all I will be doing to get traffic is submitting articles to the web and writing guest posts.
I have already produced a database of 25 blogs that I want to write for.
My marketing plan is this:
When somebody in my target group signs up to my email sign up page, I will give to them over a period of 30 days, the free version of my training course.
My training course if you don’t already know is aimed at teaching a blogger how to apply business principles in order to sell the benefits of their very own pay for access online community website.
But since you guys are not paying any attention to me, I have made some changes to the course. i decided to make a free version to give away.
The free version is customized it for anyone that has writing ability (not just bloggers) and I have incorporated article marketing techniques, email list building techniques along with the concept of how to use business principles to sell access to a pay to join community.
So I am excited.
I am going to use article marketing to drive traffic to my free training course sign up page and then sell access to my very own social network towards the end of the course.
I still have some more building to do but I will keep you informed about accomplishments and when I ready to launch the free version of my course I will let you know.
Today’s article was a little personal but tomorrow I will introduce you to something a little bit more social scientific.
Tomorrow I want to teach you what I know about the role of online media and the concept seduction, so stay tuned.
